What’s on your menu tonight? How about tender flaky fillets of salmon served up with a savory-sweet balsamic brown butter? We recommend serving it up with a fresh greens salad with a citrusy dressing.

INGREDIENTS

Balsamic Brown Butter:

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon DeLallo Modenacrem Balsamic Glaze
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • DeLallo Natural Coarse Sea Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Filets:

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • DeLallo Natural Coarse Sea Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup DeLallo Modenacrem Balsamic Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons DeLallo Pure Olive Oil
  • Zest of 1 lemon
DIRECTIONS

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk continually until butter begins to turn golden brown, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic, balsamic and lemon juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat, cover and set aside.
  2. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Dredge fillets with flour and balsamic glaze, about 1 tablespoon of each. In a large oven-proof skillet, heat olive oil on a medium-high setting. Sear each fillet until both sides are golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
  3. Transfer to oven and bake until cooked through, about 8 minutes.
  4. Serve immediately drizzled with Balsamic Brown Butter.
